The ChickenShed Mod for Minecraft 1.17.1 is a simple two-class mod that makes it so that chickens will shed a feather now and then, and upon death, they are guaranteed to drop at least one feather. Baby Chickens will also periodically shed their first feather when they die or grow up into an adult chicken! The ChickenShed mod has been designed with simplicity in mind, while also retaining the sense of realism that many players enjoy about this popular game.

The other uses besides not being required to kill chickens may be lost on you, so this is a list of things you can use the feathers for vanilla uses:

- Book and Quill
- Fireworks (Burst Effect).
This is a simple two-class mod that makes it so that chickens will shed a feather now and then, while also making it so upon death they are guaranteed to drop at least one more feather than before. Lastly, baby chickens will now also drop a single feather upon death.
How to install:
- Make sure you have already installed Minecraft Forge.
- Locate the minecraft application folder.
- On windows open Run from the start menu, type %appdata% and click Run.
- On mac open finder, hold down ALT and click Go then Library in the top menu bar. Open the folder Application Support and look for Minecraft.
- Place the mod you have just downloaded (.jar file) into the Mods folder.
- When you launch Minecraft and click the mods button you should now see the mod is installed.
