Cosmetic Armor Mod 1.16.5, 1.15.2, 1.14.4, and 1.12.2 offer us the possibility to place a cosmetic armor above our character’s defensive armor. In this way, we will have two armors, one that will bring defense to the surface and another purely decorative. The defensive armor will have to be placed where it always, while the decorative armor will be placed in the new squares that will appear when you click on the button that you find in the lower right area, within the character inventory, of the window where the skin of your character appears. Defensive armor and decorative armor.
This functionality can allow us two things. The first is a purely decorative function: to have the armor that we like the most in terms of design, even if it is not the best since we can wear the best defensive armor, but we will maintain the creation of the decorative armor. The second function is to confuse our opponents, making them think we have leather armor, for example, while we have diamond armor. Or the same the other way around.
Features:
- You can press C (default, you can change it in Controls under Inventory category) or the button added in your inventory screen (bottom right to your character, similar to the Baubles button) to open the Cosmetic Armor Inventory, left side is your normal armor slots, right side is your cosmetic armor slots.
- Any armor placed in cosmetic armor slots will not have any effect on you, only for display purpose.
- They will drop on death.
- Little square buttons on the right are Skin toggles. When turned on (white), that piece of armor will not display at all.
- Little square button on the left to inventory button is mod disable toggle. When turned on (white), the mod will not work on your client side, this is for PVP.
This mod must be installed on both client and server for it to work in multiplayer.
This mod is my reworked version of Cosmetic Armor.
The original mod has a few bugs, and it is licensed under MIT License. The author hasn’t fixed them, so I figured why not make my own version.
This mod allows you to wear two sets of armor, one for display, one for function.
