Torch is such a cool item in Minecraft. Players use torches to light up dark areas in their adventures. Therefore, it has become a crucial item that you must bring with you when you venture out into dark areas. To make the early gameplay tougher a bit, the Cosmetic mod Realistic Torches makes all torches burn out after a set period of time. In other words, you can configure an amount of time for the torches to burn out. The purpose of the mod is to motivate players to reach permanent light sources as soon as possible.
Characteristics of the Realistic Torches
These torches are quite special and they come with some unique characteristics such as:
- After you have crafted some torches, you must use a matchbox to light it up.
- When you set an amount of time, torches will burn out. By default, the amount of time will be 60 minutes. After torches being burned out, you must find more light sources.
- When the rain comes, it will put out the torches.
- Unlit torches now replace all the torches you have created in vanilla structures.
- If you use a glowstone crystal, you can craft torches that can lit up permanently.
- When you hold items and blocks that naturally emit lights, they will emit light for you. This feature functions on pre-version 1.14.4.
Realistic Torches Mod can be added to any modpacks easily. Just simply install Minecraft Forge first, then, you can launch this mod into the game.
