First Aid Mod is a modification that adds changes to the health system in Minecraft. There are 8 health regions for your character now.

About the health system in the game

The health system got some improvements now. Similar to elements like Armor, Tools, and Weapons, health is also a crucial element that you need to care about. By installing the mod mentioned above, you can make the health system much better. The old health bar was removed. Instead, players will have 8 various health regions. Besides, their head, body, legs as well as have a different health bar.

Once you have activated the mod, the vanilla health regeneration will be disabled by default. However, the effect is still valid even though you eliminate the mod. You can modify it in the config file if you want, or you can do that by setting /gamerule naturalRegeneration to true.

When you need to heal, you use utilize bandages or plaster. A GUI appears after you right-click the bandages or plaster in the inventory. Then, you can select the area you want to apply them. Try not to let the health of your head or body reaches zero, or you will meet your end.

Characteristics of First Aid

The mod comes with some characteristics, including:

Some debuffs you can apply:

• When your limbs take damage, you can use some debuffs. By doing so, you will lessen the amount of damage taken. Also, you can use them when your head takes critical hits.
• Morphine can stop all debuffs. You cannot apply health debuffs if you take morphine. However, when the effect is already over, you will continue applying debuffs.

About the armor:

• There was already an alteration for the armor calculation. For instance, when your legs take damage, only your legs armor is affected.
• You should care about the armor for the head and body because they will keep you safe and you can survive.

For a better health system, you should use the First Aid mod. It has a simple requirement which is Minecraft Forge installed previously.
