About the mod

This is a Dimensions mod by Cryptic Mushroom. They are such a talented development team when it took them only two weeks to create this mod. It was because they wanted to attend a contest named MMD SpookyJam 2018 with the Halloween theme. Although the mod currently does not feature anything much, it is still attractive enough to use. The mod is suitable for players who are brave to explore a new dimension of darkness.

In this mod, you see that the whole new dimension does not have enough lights. It is completely true because it is the place where darkness dominates. There can be lights from the crystals only, while the rest of the dimension is dark. When you make your way through this dimension, you may encounter some rifters. Then, they will pull you into this aggressive world.

How to enter The Midnight dimension

The way to entering the dark dimension in this mod is based on the Minecraft version you are on, such as:

For version 1.12.2 1.14.4: You must search for a glowing and red rift. Then, you can enter the dimension. You will catch sight them of appearing in a random way throughout the night. Also, they are easily found on the ground or even in caves. Normally, Rifts are followed by rifters strange figures.
If you are using version 1.15.2, searching for a large amount of red in the Overworld is a must. To get into the dimension, you must wait for the portals activation. Just make sure you are well prepared before you enter it. This is because it is not a place for enjoying landscapes. You will encounter many challenges, especially the rifters.

How to install The Midnight Mod:

Assure that you have already installed Minecraft Forge
Define the location of the Minecraft application folder.
On the windows, open Run from the Start Menu, write %appdata% and click to Run
Open Mac on the finder, press and hold Alt and click to Library on the peak of the Menu Bar. Open the Application Support directory and look for Minecraft.
Put The Midnight Mod you have already downloaded (.jar) into Mods directory.
When you start using Minecraft, open the mod button, you will realize that The Midnight Mod has been set up.
