The Acid Shaders mod 1.17.1 → 1.8.9 changes the way Minecraft’s lighting system works, adding some extra color to what was previously just white or black. How to install:

1. Make sure you have already installed Minecraft Forge, Optifine HD and GLSL Shaders Mod.
2. Locate the minecraft application folder.
3. Now go to:
   Windows => %appdata%\.minecraft
   Mac OS X => ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft
   Linux => ~/.minecraft
4. Place the mod you have just downloaded (.zip file) into the .minecraft/shaderpacks/ folder.
5. Now you can select shader in-game from Options/Shaders!
